More about Bermuda

João this week received a call from his mission president and received the news that he was called to serve in Bermuda beginning May 12, 2009. This will be an opportunity to serve and teach in English and Portuguese as the second language spoken in the island is Portuguese, mainly from immigrants that came from the Azores.

All of this will materialize provided that he will be able to get the visa on time!

Bermuda

Bermuda is a British overseas territory. This island is part of the New York South Mission. There is a branch of the Church in Bermuda and 2 missionaries serve in that branch. In November 2001 an article about the Bermuda was published in the Church News.This Branch is in Baileys Bay close to Hamilton.

This island adds to the rich diversity of this mission that João loved every area, first in Staten Island, and now Long Island.
